Greetings!
I hope this message finds you well! I've decided to step away from my old blog, and re-affirm my commitment to my own faith, as well as spiritual issues that have been germinating in my mind for a very long time! Thanks to the Hare Krishnas, I've been passionate about certain dharmic approaches to spirituality for quite some time. I never noticed this kind of interest in the subject was in me, it lay dormant!
When I was younger I didn't want to bother with concepts such as God and what is the spirit, and what is it made of? I didn't have the time! I figured, you would never know, so why bother thinking about it! Isn't it boring?
Now that I'm older, I've reaffirmed my commitment to the Baha'i faith. I've also gained appreciation for various conceptions of the spirit and spiritual world based on various Hindu views. Studying meditation the way some of the Hindus look at it, particularly in reform movements such as the Vedanta Society, has helped to strengthen my notion of the power of prayer in regard to my own religion, the Bahai faith.
It makes me happy to feel thus emboldened and affirmed in this way, and to be a friend of Hindu teachings and philosophies while practicing my own.
I hope to share gems of teachings that inspire!
As a side note, I minored in religious studies and I hope I can continue to research and share what I'm learning and what I'm finding!
Have a wonderful day!
